Wells Fargo is undergoing one of the fiercest financial scandals of recent memory, so much so, that federal regulators have now opened an investigation into the banks unethical activities.
Lets catch up. Earlier this month, it was unearthed that Wells Fargo and its employees had opened more than 2m unauthorized accounts in regards to their customers which earned them exorbitant fees against their knowledge. The news has rattled the banking industry, indicating that for the first time, one of the biggest major American banks is deeply corrupt.
CEO John Stumpf found himself upon Capital Hull this week whereas it is likely that he will face criminal charges in one of the biggest financial fraud scams in recent memory. Stumpf, denied that he as the leader of Wells Fargo had any wrong doing, and, cited low earning employees as the culprits
