Trump’s campaign chief in hot water over illegal connection to Russian groups

Looks like Trump’s newly minted campaign chief has some explaining to do. In a damning report released by The New York Times, anti corruption officials reportedly discovered journals and memos in Kiev that has Paul Manafort’s name all over them.

The Times suggests that pro Russian interests groups paid Manafort upwards of $12.7m a payment that Manafort claims he never received. Manafort worked as a consultant for the party between 2007 and 2012, a feat, that has raised some eyebrows in Washington.

Officials who spoke to the Daily News on condition of anonymity confirmed that the same group he worked for as a consultant, has, at some point been linked to numerous other groups believed to have heavily bribed election and political officials.
