Melania Trump denies she violated visa laws

imageAccording to Melania Ttump, er, no visa laws were broken in the midst of her transition from Slovenia to the United States. As we previously reported,  Trump’s immigration claims made headlines again after a Politico story claimed that she had violated the law by working in 1995.

The issue? Further details have apparently made way for the internet citing a particular set of sexual photos shot for a modeling agent in 1995 that occurred in New York City. However, Trump had claimed that she had only entered the United States in 1996 after lawfully entering the country.

The large issue is that Trump had claimed that she had left America for Europe several months on numerous occasions during her attempts for a proper visa. The problem? Her claim didn’t exactly jibe with how work visas actually work in America, which, ignited the concerns over her immigration status.

The interesting part of these claims is that Donald himself had made the below comments during a March interview.

“The H-1B program is neither high-skilled nor immigration: these are temporary foreign workers, imported from abroad, for the explicit purpose of substituting for American workers at lower pay,” Trump said in a March 3 statement still posted to his campaign website.

“I remain totally committed to eliminating rampant, widespread H-1B abuse. I will end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program, and institute an absolute requirement to hire American workers for every visa and immigration program. No exceptions.”

Trump herself had denied the claims on Twitter.

“In recent days there has been a lot of inaccurate reporting and misinformation concerning my immigration status back in 1996,” said Trump, who became a permanent U.S. resident in 2001.
