Clinton wants amendment to take out Citizens United

CITIZENS1All political watchers across both sides, likely, have at least some sort of knowledge as to what Citizens United is. Among them, perhaps, Hillary Clinton – Democratic Presidential Nominee – and now a person who wants to abolish the law all together.   Citizens United was a 2010 ruling that opened the doors for massive corporate political donations, something, that Bernie Sanders vehemently opposed and fought against.

Now, Clinton has picked up some of his causes.

“Today I’m announcing that in my first 30 days as president, I will propose a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United and give the American people—all of us—the chance to reclaim our democracy,” Clinton said in a video for Netroots Nation. “I will also appoint Supreme Court justices who understand that this decision was a disaster for our democracy. And I will fight for other progressive reforms, including small-dollar matching and disclosure requirements.”
