ST PAUL — A white officer in Minnesota paid no mercy to Philando Castile, 32, who died this week after being shot to death during a traffic stop. Not just shot to death, but, slain in such a grisly manner than one might think it was a bad scene of a weirdly written police movie.
Castile, apparently, was stopped over a broken tail light. And, when reaching for his identification and the like was shot more than half a dozen times bleeding to death in his car as his daughter and wife watched. The grisly murder was broadcast on Facebook, which, is still available on the social networking site.
WARNING: Graphic footage of Castile ‘s murder emerges via Facebook broadcast and posted in The Daily News.
“He let the officer know that he had a firearm and he was reaching for his wallet and the officer just shot him in his arm,” Reynolds said as she broadcast the Wednesday evening shooting on Facebook.
“Please don’t tell me this, Lord. Please, Jesus, don’t tell me that he’s gone. Please don’t tell me that he’s gone,” she said. “Please, officer, don’t tell me that you just did this to him. You shot four bullets into him, sir. He was just getting his license and registration, sir.”
