LONDON — Hours after the historic Brexit, it appears that we are on par to leave the European Union after a historic vote Thursday to end the UK’s membership in the EU forever. As of this writing, 53% of the UK has voted to leave the EU forever, while 47% of the UK has said no.
From polling stations and what we’ve learned, as of 4am BST, more than 240 of the reporting areas have reported in with the Leave campaign gaining much of the needed speed that it needed. As of this writing, the leave campaign has roughly 12m votes.
