Apparently not content with the 4 of July, a Texas group of residents are out to “Texit” the United States entirely. According to reports, the Texas Nationalist Movement group launched the campaign Friday after the surprise success of the Brexit campaign.
Vocativ decided to see how much steam this campaign has picked up online, perhaps, exactly as it was expected to be. Per social references, some 1,800 people tweeted about the subject in the hours after Brexit.
Some of the tweets are frighteningly serious, some of which, won’t be discussed in this newspaper.
Texas refused to comment on the new Texit movement.
