Some could wish that they would go about their business one day, and, suddenly wake up the next with a foreign accent. Such, uh, was the case for Texas resident Lisa Alamia who had an operation on her throat about 6 months ago. Now here’s where it gets interesting.
According to news reports, Alamia, has since suffered a bizarre change in speech. Alamia, born and raised in the Lone Star State and of Mexican heritage — perhaps — now sounds like she’s from the middle of London. Her operation has now apparently resulted in the often irritating “Where are you from”? In what use to be normal everyday encounters with others.
