WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton has a new problem, and, that problem revolves around her family’s Clinton Foundation. According to newly published reports, Clinton’s foundation is under fire this weekend after it emerged millions in slush money has been provided to “highly suspicious” people. Watch dogs revealed that $2m in “slush money” was provided to Bill’s former “energizer” mistress, some of which, has since been removed from the foundation’s website.
The Clinton Foundation is now under “more serious review” per other reports. The investigation first popped up after a Wall Street Journal report noted that the Clinton Foundation had “provided secret money to an energizer mistress” among other people. The news, perhaps, has set off criticism from conservatives far-and-wide. Reports are strong that Clinton violated federal laws by acting in private interests, rather, than public interests as a non-profit organization.
According to the report, The Clinton Foundation set up an additional $2m fund in 2010 to help energize homes and make them more energy efficient. The point? To reduce the use of fossil fuels and make homes much more livable. Energy Pioneer Solutions set up the program with the Clinton Foundation and the Global Initiative, however, others aren’t buying it.
President Clinton has established many friendships and professional connections throughout his career in public service. It is not surprising that many of the same people who have worked with him to make a difference and improve the world would continue their (work) through CGI,” Minassian, the foundation’s spokesman, said in a statement to CNN.
