FORT MCMURRAY — Good news for those in the fire ravaged province of Fort McMurray. According to officials, the 372k kilometre wide wildfire that engulfed the homes of thousands of people is finally near its “death grip”. Late last night, rain reportedly fell and weather conditions softened in the area providing better working conditions for fire fighters.
Officials had initially expected the wildfire to be much larger than expected. However, graciously, the weather permitted better containment abilities on behalf of firefighters in the area.
