BRASILIA — Moments ago, 55 of the 81 Senators in Brazil’s Senate have officially announced that President Dilma Rouseff has been suspended from the Presidential palace and from her formal duties temporarily. As we reported yesterday, this means, that, Rouseff will now undergo further impeachment proceedings and the Senate has up to 180 days to determine her ultimate fate.
Vice President Temer is expected to assume power within the economically stricken country.
