In 2013, an innocent trans individual Islan was savagely beaten to death by a psychopath James Dixon. Nearly three years later, Dixon has learned his punishment in the vicious beating death of Islan (pictured).
Due to the nature of Islan ‘ s death, much of it won’t be discussed in this newspaper. During a hearing this week, a Manhattan judge ruled that Dixon will receive just a mere 12 years for knocking Islan unconscious and proceeding to beat her to death before dismembering parts of her body.
Islan’s family along with LGBT communities fat and wide are outraged that someone could receive so little of a sentence, essentially, for one of the most horrifying hate crimes in recent memory.
