For those that have followed all things Trump, er, there’s one other thing interesting in the news this week. According to reports, Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields (who has now resigned) was allegedly assaulted by Donald Trump’s campaign manager Corey.
Fields alleges that she was “pulled away” by the arm “vicariously” by Corey in an attempt to prevent Fields from asking Trump a question during a Florida presser.
“Today I informed the management at Breitbart News of my immediate resignation,” Fields said in a statement. “I do not believe Breitbart News has adequately stood by me during the events of the past week and because of that I believe it is now best for us to part ways.” She repeated that sentiment in a tweet Monday.
Breitbart’s own Editor-At-Large Ben Shapiro, er, followed suit. Both simultaneously announced that they had quit (Shapiro, in support of Fields) whom both claim that Breitbart news has betrayed their loyalty to the website and Andrew Breitbart himself.
