Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia dead at 79

Scalia1TEXAS — While vacationing in Texas,  Scalia’s reign as the longest serving US Supreme Court Justice has come to an end. According to news reports, Antonin Scalia, 79, died over the weekend of what appear to be from natural causes.   Friends say Scalia was found dead in his room after not showing up for breakfast on Saturday.

Scalia, was first nominated to the Supreme Court in 1986 by none other than Ronald Reagan. His conservative and controversial dissents often led to numerous quotes and media stories throughout the world. Texas Governor Greg Abbott called Scalia a “Man of God and A Defender of the Rule of Law”.

United States President Barack Obama reportedly announced Saturday that a new nominee will take place after a “Timely Vote”. Such, perhaps, will be Obama’s third nominee during his tenure as President of the United States.
