Stacey Dash — irrelevant movie star — turned political aficionado has something to say and wants the world to know it. On yesterday’s much-talked-about Fox News appearance, Dash, stated that ‘Black History Month shouldn’t exist’.
I think it’s ludicrous,” the Clueless alum told Steve Doocy. “We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration, and if we don’t want segregation, then we have to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black. If it were the other way around, we’d be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”
Since the release of her comments, BET, a network primarily responsible for the continuation of Dash’s movies being played on television — responded to her comments. Some of those comments, perhaps, even included the declaration that networks like BET and the similar award shows shouldn’t exist at all.
