Troubling news in the world of American media today, er, mostly because one of the world’s most prominent Islamic news agency’s has announced that it is shutting its doors in America. After more than three years as a cable news agency in the states, Al Jazeera, couldn’t quite muster up the viewership it had hoped.
According to reports, Jazeera, will shut its cable news agency and American web efforts in April which is expected to leave hundreds of prestigious journalists without a job. Per a statement from Al Jazeera “Our business model didn’t quite go well with the American economy in media”.
