The plot thickens in the race to meet Kim Jong Un

The race to meet Kim Jong Un for formal talks, ehum, just got a whole lot more interesting. According to reports, former CIA director (and now Sec State) Mike Pompeo apparently traveled to Pyongyang over Easter weekend. In that visit, he reportedly met Kim Jong un secretly in Presidential quarters to discuss the hotly-anticipated meeting between the United States and North Korea. The first of its kind since 2000, when,  Mrs Albright  visited Pyongyang in 2000, also then, as Secretary of State.

In other news,  Kim Jong Un may not actually have the necessary airline capacity to actually make it to his meeting with the American president.

Pomeo, then told the Senate last week that he is “optimistic” after his meeting with  North Korea that the “groundwork for a great diplomatic outcome” can be laid. Groundwork and an outcome “that America and the entire world desperately needs”.

The meeting between Trump, which still remains murky,  is  believed to be taking place in June.
