WASHINGTON — Donald Trump has informed Mike Pompeo that he has a new job, while, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is indeed out of a job. According to the White House, Mike Pompeo has been sworn in as the new Secretary of State, while, Tillerson didn’t find out until he turned on the news this morning.
The former CIA director, Mike Pompeo, released this statement after the news surfaced.
“I am deeply grateful to President Trump for permitting me to serve as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and for this opportunity to serve as Secretary of State,” he said. “His leadership has made America safer and I look forward to representing him and the American people to the rest of the world to further America’s prosperity.”
