Because for whatever reason, a particular hospital, has felt that doctors pay needs to be nearly at $500,000 (its at $315,000 a year now according to numerous doctors) with more raises expected until 2023. But, nurses and doctors at Sacre-Coeur Hospital. The New York Times reports that even its highest paid doctors are crying foul, because, nurses are constantly being called in for extra work for but very little extra pay.
“We have no life,” a 36-year-old nurse with three children tells the National Post. “One day off in a week, and they call us four times to come in for extra work. I’ve had enough.”
Officials from the hospital didn’t directly comment on the story, but, there is a petition to the Canadian government to stop the outrageous pay hikes until they become fair.
