North Carolina Mom jailed for baptizing daughter

CHARLOTTE — A North Carolina mom is in jail this week, ehum, for baptizing her daughter. According to court documents obtained by The Daily News,  Kendra Stocks of Charlotte, found out the hard-way of disobeying a court order that she not perform such due to a dispute with the little girl’s father.

The documents, per our own review and those of multiple outlets,  reveal that  the father Paul Schaaf actually had been granted full custody of the child last year.  Custody records show that Schaaf was granted full custody and “specifically rights including those to her religion” by a judge.

On Monday, a judge ruled that Stock’s baptism of the daughter last year behind the back of the baby’s father was “against the law” and a “complete disregard for court order”.  Originally a 10 day sentence, she, is now serving her 7 day sentence as of Friday.
