A belt brought this female strangler to justice: Police

When one thinks of killers, they, ehum, imagine that DNA would be the culprit in their demise. But for one Canadian woman, a black belt,  brought justice to her best friend in which she strangled to death in 2015.  Cheyanne Antoine, 21,  apparently used a sparkly black belt to kill her best friend after an argument turned fatal that year.

Let’s take a minute to discuss  the case. In 2015,  Brittany Gargol was found strangled and left near a water  refuge area in Saskatchewan.  At the time, police weren’t quite sure who the belt belonged to, but, thanks to months of social media investigation — they finally got an answer.

According to Canadian authorities,   police discovered a photograph of Cheyanne and Brittany  hours before her death — whereas Antoine was pictured wearing the same belt found near the crime scene.

As of this week, of course, Antoine has avoided second degree murder charges in favor of manslaughter charges.
