Debra Messing calls out E! while being interviewed on E!

Will & Grace Star Debra Messing appears at the Golden Globes in Hollywood California 7 January 2018

The whole Times Up movement and equal pay thing, is, ehum, a big deal in Hollywood — especially during what was the Golden Globes last night. Will & Grace star Debra Messing took to her interview with E!, ehum, only to criticize E! News for apparently paying Catt Sadler less than her male counterparts during an interview.

‘Catt Sadler  left E! News last month after more than a decade long career, ehum, abruptly after discovering and revealing to the public that she was paid far less than her male-counterpart Jason (think the really weird guy she once hosted with). Messing, couldn’t hold her tongue on the red carpet, having this to say about the whole situation.

I was so shocked to hear that E! doesn’t believe in paying their female co-hosts the same as their male co-hosts. I mean, I miss Catt Sadler,” the Will & Grace star told correspondent Giuliana Rancic. “We stand with her.”

Messing added: “That’s something that can change tomorrow. We want people to start having this conversation that women are just as valuable as men.”

“We support gender equity and equal pay, and we hope that E! follows that lead with Catt as well,” the New York Times quotes Eva Longoria as telling Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet.
