New York wants to legalize marijuana before Jeff Sessions does a full reversal

Medical-Marijuana

NEW YORK —   Deep in some weird law chamber this week, officials and lawmakers gathered to discuss Jeff Sessions’ puzzling and often misleading reversals on marijuana.  A total of 6 states currently have various medical marijuana programs (while others have flat out legalized it…).

Jeff Sessions, on the other hand, apparently wants to rescind Obama-era policies that allowed the popular recreational drug to soar in popularity.

NY Senator Diane Savino, had this to say about Sessions attempts to dismantle the use of marijuana all together.

“We need action now. The attorney general does not make laws, he enforces them, Congress makes law. I am calling on the 336 members of Congress who reside in states that have a legal medical cannabis program to stand up and do their job, move to pass legislation to legalize medical cannabis, now,” said Savino.

Savino and her colleagues have apparently asked Congress to legally pass legislation that would completely allow the use of medical and recreational marijuana indefinitely.
