CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA — A massive taxi strike (think buses, not yellow cabbies) is underway in Cape Town. Exclusive photos sent in to the Daily News show private cars; buses, and even people being viciously attacked as the city has reportedly shut down the transportation system for reasons they refused to disclose.
Thousands of people across the Western Cape are unable to get to work today, mostly, due to growing violence (and we mean that literally) while others are just flat out worried about their safety concerns. Phumlani a resident of Cape Town sent in these photos to The Daily News this morning.
