Big trouble for those in Missouri hoping to continue to make a living. On Monday, the state’s new law preventing the minimum wage from going beyond $7.70 goes into play. Earlier this year, officials in St. Louis tried to raise the minimum wage to at least $10.00 h/r, although, the state’s Republican governor decided that the people of Missouri aren’t allowed livable wages.
The state’s governor and its office decided to issue legislation that indefinitely ends any local government(s) hope across the state of ever raising the minimum wage. Meanwhile, thousands are protesting as some are worried that come Monday, people, are going to see steep cuts in their bi-weekly paychecks.
