Apple’s Tim Cook is apparently a man of vindication and reason, more so, than possibly the President of the United States. In a memo leaked online by Recode, Tim Cook, unleashed his angst against Donald Trump after it appeared that Donald “supported” (at the very least) the idealism of white nationalism rising again in the United States.
“What occurred in Charlottesville has no place in our country,” Cook writes in the memo, also posted by Recode. “Hate is a cancer, and left unchecked it destroys everything in its path. Its scars last generations.” the memo further reads.
Meanwhile, it has now been confirmed that Apple will donate up to $1m to the Southern Poverty Law Center and various other human rights groups at a “time in which this kind of support is desperately needed” according to one Apple employee who preferred to remain anonymous.
