Chicago sues over sanctuary city crackdown

CHICAGO —  Once upon a time, Chicago, was a beautiful city and equally fun to be in. These days, Chicago ‘s own murder rate is so high one may reconsider any venture into Chicago before they actually do it. Enter: The Justice Department.  According to a DOJ spokesperson,  “These policies regarding sanctuary cities have been set up to protect the American people and therefore will be enforced”.

Those policies referencing newly laid out guidelines that restrict the use of federal grant money from sanctuary cities that have been or stand accused of harboring illegal immigrants. Meanwhile,  Chicago ‘s  Mayor Emanuel reportedly plans to sue in an attempt to block the DOJ from restricting funds amid fears that the city would take a nosedive without the much needed federal funding that it acquires through federal grants.
