According to Trump the “skyrocketing costs of the burden of transgender people in the military” is the initial basis for the ban.
Although, the cost of medical care generally is little compared to the massive spending bill that conservatives and Trump want for the military, on weapons, that aren’t generally needed. In typical Sarah Huckabee-Sanders style, questions about the ban were dodged.
Estimates put the number of brave transgender soldiers at around 15,000 current serving. In other news, Trump doesn’t want the military to spend money on its working-brave transgender soldiers — but we won’t discuss the amount of money the military spends on erectile dysfunction.
