Michelle Obama talks political office; her future, and whether or not she’ll run for President

All of which are a big no. In a speech in Florida this week, the former First Lady took to the stage to cheering crowds, for the first time since leaving office with her husband earlier this year. In the speech, Obama touched on everything from her own life to whether or not she’ll run for President in the future.

“It’s all well and good until you start running [for office], and then the knives come out. Politics is tough, and it’s hard on a family,” she said, according to the Orlando Sentinel. “I wouldn’t ask my children to do this again because, when you run for higher office, it’s not just you, it’s your whole family.”
