ATLANTA – Atlanta’s Transportation officials have confirmed to The Daily News that at least three have been arrested in connection to the collapse of I-85’s interstate that occurred yesterday.
Officials would not say whether or not this was simply a criminal case or terrorism.
Yesterday, a large section of the bridge collapsed that holds up the interstate. Unfortunately for many Atlanta residents, this was their interstate of choice to go school; work, and even home. By Friday morning, smoke was still rising from the interstate that will remain closed in both directions for some time.
The closure comes as spring break takes flight across America. Drivers can no longer intend to route through the southeast’s biggest interstate to head onto their travels.
