Sadiq Khan left squirming on LBC after questions over Met police commissioners resignation

Last month, Met police commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe announced that after just five years at the top police job in London he would soon be retiring. According to Howe, he will finish out his term up to February before his resignation is up.

But questions remain. Howe, had long been dedicated to his job. He had previously expressed a reported interest in remaining on the job even for another four years. But suddenly ,out of the blue, he had decided to announce his retirement.

In interviews with LBC, Sadiq Khan is anything but cooperative in answering questioms as to the real reason of such a sudden resignation from the top police officer. James, the host, even went on as far as to say that Khan “wanted him gone” and that’s the real reason for the sudden retirement.

Khan denies that he wanted him gone and insisted that he wanted him around.
