As if British politics couldn’t get any worse. Er, they just did. It has been confirmed that UKIP leader Nigel Farage has reportedly resigned as leader of the Independence Party. Farage, was instrumental in the UK’s leaving of the European Union.
“The victory for the ‘leave’ side in the referendum means that my political ambition has been achieved,” Farage said. “I came into this struggle from business because I wanted us to be a self-governing nation, not to become a career politician.”
This now leaves Boris Johnson; Nigel Farage, and more than a dozen cabinet members out of a job.
