Phoenix bans couples gun game over “uncomfortable feelings”

IndependencePHOENIX — A Phoenix couple who had hoped to get their “for fun” gun game up and running for the 4th of July, perhaps, is out of that idea as of this writing. According to the AP, the city of Phoenix apparently sent a notice to Pete and Valerie Fowler say Prescott Pete’s Highfalutin Shooting Gallery was banned from the upcoming festivities in the city tomorrow.

Why? According to the AP, the city felt that the shooting game was “in bad taste” after recent spikes in gun violence and the like in an around the United States.

If it had happened immediately following the shooting in Orlando, I would have been a bit more understanding, but this was just out of the blue,” Pete Fowler says. “For us to make this business work, we have to get into big events like [this].”
