33 people shot over Fourth of July weekend: Police 

CHICAGO — According to police Chicago has seen yet another spike in violence over the Fourth of July weekend. Beginning Saturday through today, 35 people and counting have reportedly been shot with 17 of them having been within the past 24 hours.

Police would not confirm nor deny the number of arrests of any have been made in connection to the shooting.
