Oprah gets apology from Swiss shop she says discriminated against her

OPRAHWhen Oprah alleged that she was discriminated against by one of Switzerland’s biggest retailers — the retailer shot back, and almost instantaneously.  In a statement to Reuters, Trois Pommes denied the racial discrimination incident alleged by Oprah citing that ‘it was a big misunderstanding’.

Oprah had initially alleged that while in Switzerland for friend Tina Turner’s wedding,  she was discriminated against while attempting to buy a 35,000 franc crocodile purse from Trois Pommes; a high end luxury boutique in Switzerland.

“Of course that’s not the case. Who wouldn’t want to sell a purse for 35,000 francs?” Goetz said.
