Zimmerman acquittal met with protests across United States

ZIMMERMAN11New York, New York:  As the world settles with George Zimmerman having been found not guilty, protests have continued to erupt across the United States in response to the jurors presiding over his case setting him free.

From New York City, to Oakland California thousands of protesters turned out in anger  to protest the verdict — some of which were arrested as clashes with police took place.  CNN notes that NYC drew the most people, with an estimated 5,000 protesters storming Times Square.
