J-LO performs for dictators birthday: Singer taken to bat over performance in totalitarian country

J-Lo  apparently didn’t get the memo that performing in dictator led countries doesn’t often go down so well. Just ask J-LO after last night’s performance she reportedly did in Turkmenistan a country led by the world’s most repressive dictator in history.  Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, who celebrated his 56th birthday  over the weekend (and has ruled Turkmenistan since 2006) seemed  not-so bewildered by J-Lo’s half naked performances with her just as nude dancers.

J-LO ‘s rep released a statement claiming the pop icon wasn’t aware that Gurbanguly was any kind of leader, let alone a dictator.

Turkmenistan is described by Human Rights Groups as the most repressive country in the entire world.
