The George Zimmerman trial has wrapped (at least for this week). Throughout the week, the world got to sort-of know 19-year-old Rachel Jeantel — a Florida teenager who was the last one to speak to Trayvon Martin alive before he was fatally shot. Jeantel, while on the witness stand was famously grilled by the defense who assailed the teen for having a number of issues reading a letter written in cursive writing.
She did not want to be there, no way,’ said a friend who knew Rachel from Norland High School in Miami, Florida.
‘She was not happy to take part. She did not want to do it, but out of respect for Trayvon’s parents agreed to go to the trial.’
